Hetty stopped working as a full time veterinary surgeon in 2008 and now concentrates on training dogs and giving acupuncture treatments to animals. During her studies for Veterinary Medicine at the University of Utrecht in Holland she also did a lot of courses in behaviour management of animals. Hetty competes with her dogs all over the world in freestyle, heelwork to music, obedience and agility.
Hetty regulary does seminars,workshops and private tuition all over Europe. In 2009 and 2010 she has been teaching & schooling obedience trainers in the south of Germany in competitive obedience (to FCI rules), has given other seminars in Germany on freestyle, heelwork to music and obedience, seminars in Italy on freestyle & heelwork to music and clicker training, private lessons in Italy for clicker training for agility, seminars and private training in Switzerland for obedience and freestyle & HtM competitors, as well as training days in the UK on freestyle & HTM, barrel racing and clicker training. Hetty is an official judge in freestyle and heelwork to music and has had judging appointments in Holland, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and the UK
